The Spring May Bank Holiday weekend is nearly here, and The Royal Oak North Gorley is getting ready for a relaxed few days of great food, refreshing drinks, family-friendly touches and time spent in the garden.
With warm, sunny weather on the way, it is the perfect opportunity to make the most of the New Forest, enjoy a walk, meet friends, gather with family, and settle in at the pub for something seasonal from the kitchen or a cold drink in the sunshine.
Our garden is ready, the umbrellas are up, and tables are already filling quickly, so we recommend booking ahead where possible.
Updated Bank Holiday menus
We will be serving updated menus across the weekend, including a changing selection of seasonal dishes and specials. Our specials are updated regularly, so there will be plenty to tempt you whether you are joining us for lunch, dinner, or a relaxed drink and bite to eat in the garden.
Our well-loved mussels and ribs will also be available over the weekend, alongside pub favourites and fresh seasonal dishes from the kitchen.
On Bank Holiday Monday, we will be running an open kitchen from 12pm to 6pm, making it easy to join us for a relaxed lunch or early evening meal.
Cool off with our signature gin
For the weekend, we are also serving our signature gin, Downton Explorer Gin with Mediterranean tonic, available as a single for £7.50.
It is a perfect Bank Holiday drink for a sunny afternoon in the garden, refreshing, aromatic and ideal for cooling off after a walk through the New Forest.
