Eight of us attended a family birthday meal, all choosing different dishes from the Sunday menu, and there was not one complaint or disappointment.

It was our first time at this venue, but it will not be our last. A new chef, apparently, and I suggest they keep hold of them.

Melt-in-the-mouth lamb shank roast

My partner and I went to The Royal Oak for Sunday roast. We had the lamb shank roast and it was absolutely delicious. It melted off the bone.

All the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and cosy on a very rainy afternoon. We would absolutely recommend it.

All of our dishes are lovingly created by our chefs and prepared in-house. We use fresh, seasonal and local produce. All of our food is prepared to order, some dishes have a 45-minute cooking time; during busier times, this may take longer. It is worth the wait, we promise. If you have an allergy, a member of our team will happily help guide you. Many of our dishes can be tweaked to be gluten-free and or vegan. Look out for GFO and VGO on our menu for options.
